Job Description

We are hoping to recruit a new Teaching Assistant to start in September 2017 working 5 days a week (8:30am-3pm)  The successful candidate will work in Key Stage 2.

We are looking for someone who:

  • has a proven record of working with children in the primary school setting and understands what the role entails
  • genuinely wants to work collaboratively with other members of staff in a team and understands the importance of learning from other people
  • is keen to raise children’s standards by leading intervention groups and has a proven track record of doing so
  • has a good standard of English and Maths skills and good spoken language

The right candidate must also demonstrate good interpersonal skills at all levels, a good work ethic, good organisational skills and a keen interest in improving life chances for all children.

The interview process will consist of a formal interview, an activity with a small group of children and a basic skills test. If you have had previous experience please indicate which year groups you have most recently worked in.
