We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Nursery Assistant to support our  growing maintained Nursery and our Outstanding Early Years Team.

Our thriving and purpose built Nursery now offers extended hours during the school day and from September, 30 hours free childcare to eligible families. The Nursery is an integral part of the school and the majority of our Nursery children transfer to the school's Reception classes.

You must have a child centered approach and recognise the importance of a stimulating environment whilst maintaining high expectations of learning and behaviour . We serve a wide catchment area and have children with a range of needs including SEN and EAL. Experience in these areas is essential. 

Previous experience of working in a Nursery environment, NVQ Level 2 equivalent in English and Maths and an NVQ 2 or equivalent in Early Years and Childcare Development would be an advantage.

The post is initially fixed term until 31st August 2018. Hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4pm term-time only plus INSET days.

We are very proud of our wonderful school which was judged as good with outstanding features. Our most recent Ofsted inspection was in October 2022.

We have 16 classes including our maintained Nursery. A set of Core Values underpin all that we do which ensure high expectations of both learning and behaviour. They are 'Equality, Responsibility, Respect, Resilience and Challenge.' Our inclusive school is based on a large, well resourced site just outside Maidstone town centre. Our excellent facilities include a library, extensive outdoor learning areas and an ASD Satellite.

Our school has a happy and caring ethos and is is full of well motivated children, supported by a hardworking and fully committed team of staff and governors.
