We require a part-time HLTA, 29.25 hours per week to work term time plus 5 staff development days.

The successful candidate will work under the professional direction of a teacher within an agreed system of supervision to deliver lessons set by or with teachers and support pupils.

We are looking to appoint a person with:

  • successful and relevant experience working with children as a Teaching Assistant
  • evidence of meeting the Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards
  • qualifications in maths and english to at least NVQ2
  • the HLTA qualification
  • full working knowledge of relevant policies and codes of practice as well as working knowledge of implementing the national curriculum
  • flexibility and te ability to work as part of a team
  • a creative approach to problem solving, with excellent communication skills
