We require a Fundraiser to join our "Outstanding" school and are looking for a successful candidate with drive and enthusiasm to join our friendly, professional, positive and forward looking school.

The working hours are dependent on the candidate.  We can be flexible e.g. 35 hours per week Monday - Friday Term Time or Full year with part-time hours.

Reporting to the Assistant Head Teacher, the Fundraiser will play an integral part within the Friends of Five Acre Wood School Charity function, where a proactive nature, professional manner, and attention to detail are paramount. The successful candidate will need:

  • Confident communicator who has the ability to market the school to local and national businesses
  • Dynamic with the confidence and skills to network and build strong relationships
  • Drive and energy with creativity and a growth mindset
  • The ability to prioritise and organise workloads, working to specific deadlines
  • Work on their own initiative and be a team player
  • Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrate a good level of ICT, English and Numeracy Skills
  • Previous Fundraising experience or marketing/business graduate
  • The ability and / or experience of bid writing for grants
  • Experience and / or an interest in charitable organisations
  • A passion and understanding of special needs

Five Acre Wood is a successful outward looking and expanding Special School based over 4 sites in and around Maidstone, Kent. We are one of the largest special schools in the country with over 800 pupils on roll aged 2-19 years with profound, severe and complex needs.
