We are looking for a Specialist Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist to join our 'Outstanding' School.

37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, core hours 8.30am – 4.00pm

Full time or term time depending on candidate.

Salary Band 6 or 7 depending on experience.

2 years post-graduate experience.

Experience of working in an Educational Setting, with a range of AAC and children with severe and complex needs.

We are an Outstanding Special Needs School with IIP Gold Award and excellent career prospects.

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Assess, diagnose, treat and manage own specialist caseload of pupils and maintain records.
  • Provide specialist intervention and evaluate outcomes.
  • Devise and deliver training to other school staff, parents and carers and to seek opportunities for your own CPD.
  • Advise and provide clinical support to staff on Speech & Language Therapy issues
  • Supervise work of assistants, students and staff working with the post holder.
  • Provide total commitment to the safeguarding of pupils and the provision of opportunities for all pupils to achieve within the 5 areas of Every Child Matters.

The successful candidate will also have a strong commitment to inclusive principles and be committed to safeguarding children and young people.
