Would you like to work in an idyllic, small rural church primary school? We have recently been inspected and we continue to provide a good education.

We are wishing to employ a class teacher for our mixed Year 5/6 class. You will work alongside a highly skilled and experienced Key-Stage 2 colleague. This is a part-time post for a minimum of 2 days per week.

Visits to the school are strongly encouraged.

Information about the school

St Margaret’s, Collier Street is a small and welcoming Church of England village school which is ideally situated between Maidstone and Tonbridge. Our children, of which there are currently 124, are polite and love to learn. Our latest OFSTED report in May 2022 remarked that 'there is a strong culture of personal and professional support among staff'.

We are very well resourced and have a purpose built children's kitchen, additional teaching rooms as well as very spacious grounds. We offer a friendly school which maintains close links with the church and where everyone works together for the benefit of every pupil. We have very supportive parents and an active PTA.

Our school and all its personnel are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children. This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
