Learning Support Assistant 1:1

Brampton Primary Academy are looking for experienced Learning Support Assistants to provide full time 1:1 support for pupils with a variety of needs.

The successful candidate will have:

• High expectations and be committed to raising standards
• Empathy and understanding for children who have complex needs, including those with social, emotional and mental health needs, who may display challenging behaviour as a result
• The ability to enhance the learning of pupils through high quality support
• The willingness to embrace change and approach challenge positively
• Excellent behaviour management
• Confidence working in small group settings or on a 1:1 basis
• Experience of working with children with challenging behaviour
• The ability to keep pupils motivated and engaged
• Confidence to adapt their teaching style to many different and challenging situations
• Confidence in de-escalating challenging behaviour
• A calm disposition but also firm in approach
• A great sense of humour
• Ability to adapt to diverse situations and 'Think on Your Feet'

This will involve working mostly within a classroom environment and may require 1:1 in an alternative location. There will also be a lunchtime responsibility

This is a fixed term appointment based on external funding and will cease should the funding stop.
