Teaching Assistant Posts (KR3 pro rata)

From 1st September 2017

Monday to Friday 8.40 am to 3.25 pm (30.5 hours a week, includes 30 minutes liaison time weekly) and Monday to Friday 11.55 am to 3.25 pm (18 hours a week, includes 30 minutes liaison time)

We are looking for:

  • A good standard of general education English and mathematics minimum GCSE C and good ICT skills
  • Experience and an understanding of SEN with an understanding of communication and speech and language support
  • The ability to draw out the very best from children whatever their ability
  • An aptitude to relate well to children and adults, understanding their needs and being able to respond accordingly
  • An awareness and commitment to developing safe and happy playtimes for all groups of children.
  • The capacity to work well within a team.
  • Enthusiasm, commitment, flexibility and a sense of humour!

Initially these posts are for KS2 and EYFS but applicants should be prepared to work across the primary phase.   Please note that these posts are linked to funding and therefore will be on a temporary basis in the first instance. The recruitment process will include an observation of a pupil activity led by the applicant, a written exercise and interview.
