Teaching Assistant Required - 35 hours per week, term time only plus training days.

Kent Range 5 £17,827 - £19,608 FTE (pro-rota to £14,229.88 - £15,651.51)

In addition to the above the role will also receive SENA (Special Education Needs Allowance)

Laleham Gap School is looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our wonderful team.

The successful candidate would ideally be educated to at least GCSE grade C in English and Maths or equivalent and have experience of working with children in an educational setting. We are looking for committed, flexible and enthusiastic individuals who are team players, good communicators and can use their initiative across the school. Knowledge of special needs would be beneficial; however full training will be given. The desirable skills for the pots are experience of working with children with autism, speech, language and communication difficulties as well as behaviour difficulties.

The small class sizes targeted support across the school and flexibility to meet students needs, means that pupils are well equipped to reach their maximum potential and creates a teaching environment that is highly rewarding to work in. Pupils engage and enjoy their learning opportunities and rapidly grow in confidence and ability through the dedicated support interventions.

Information about the school

Laleham Gap is a Communication and Interaction Special School. We have pupils aged from 4 to 18 years of age. Most of our pupils have a diagnosis of Autism. All pupils have an EHCP. Most pupils will achieve some GCSEs or equivalent at age 16. Laleham Gap is a new, high quality and well-resourced environment and the opportunity to work with an established, experienced and highly motivated team.
