Chef Manager

Salary – depending on experience

KR7 - £21,510 - £24,472 gross per annum (pro-rata)

We are looking to recruit a Chef Manager to join us on a permanent basis as soon as possible.  Monday to Friday 8.00 a.m. – 4.00 p.m.

The role will be term time only i.e. 39 weeks per year (plus an additional 5 weeks paid holiday) however there will be a requirement to work a number of pre-agreed days during the school holidays.

We are looking for an experienced Chef Manager who has a proven track record of leading, motivating and managing teams.

You will have experience of delivering a high quality menu, creating new dishes, working with fresh produce and coming up with fresh and innovative ideas.

The successful applicant will be in charge of contacting suppliers, sourcing and creating new menus and will get the opportunity to really experiment in the kitchen. You will be required to maintain the high standards of food quality and service; ensuring all Health & Safety regulations are followed and food allergy information is displayed appropriately. You will also have responsibility for implementing and managing full health and safety processes and documentation, ensuring stock rotation and stringent labelling. In addition you will need to be flexible, able to multi-task, like a challenge, hands on, a team player and possess a “can do” attitude and excellent customer service skills.

Experience of having worked in a school kitchen environment and catering for those with special dietary requirements would be advantageous.

As well as the kitchen, there is also an in-house Cafe that will be used daily by staff (approximately 100) and visitors.
