Advert

West Hill Primary School is seeking a teacher for upper KS2 to join a vibrant, hard-working, excellent team of teachers from September 2017.

West Hill Primary School is in the process of joining The Galaxy Trust, made up of Oakfield Primary Academy and Temple Hill Primary Academy all situated in Dartford. With nearly 2000 pupils across the three schools, there are a great number of opportunities for developing the best provision within the area.

Every teacher is entitled to the best possible CPD. No teacher is ever left to plan alone.  Reducing teacher workload and improving teacher well-being is a priority.  Governance arrangements fully support the development of teachers, enabling them to concentrate on teaching and learning.  A high priority is placed on developing the deeper learning of basic skills, whilst at the same time developing a broad and balanced curriculum of foundation subjects.  Retention of staff is high and the majority of teachers leave our schools for promotion/development opportunities.  The majority of career development happens from inside the school.  Five of the current senior leaders began their careers as NQTs from within The Trust.

What can you expect when joining West Hill and The Galaxy Trust?

  • A leadership team that challenges and supports.
  • Plenty of opportunities to have a voice to influence school development.
  • Hard-working and supportive Trustees that want the best for pupils, parents and staff.
  • Wonderful children that come from all sections of the community.
  • Parents that want the best for their children and will help the school achieve best outcomes.
  • A great sense of teamwork. Plenty of laughter along the way.
  • A generous welcome/recruitment payment is available for the best candidates, as well as laptop and iPad for every successful recruit.

What we expect from teachers in our schools:

  • The skill to keep the child at the centre of everything they do.
  • An ability to see the best in every child.
  • Hard-working, loyal, professional teachers that actually want to teach!
  • To work as a team and be proud of collective as well as individual achievements.
  • A high standard of English and maths knowledge.
  • A passion for another area of the curriculum.

If you are interested in joining our team, in the first instance, please contact Mrs. Claire Coldwell, based at West Hill Primary School (01322 226019) to arrange a tour.
