Class Teacher

We are looking to appoint a class teacher. The post is a full time, permanent position.

We secured 'Good' in our recent Ofsted inspection and are looking for an enthusiastic and inspirational candidate to join our friendly and supportive team.

Our school is situated in the area of outstanding natural beauty close to the Kent/East Sussex border and we can offer you modern and spacious buildings, grounds and facilities. Each classroom also has its own spacious outdoor learning area (part covered) and own garden. We are approximately half an hour from the Tunbridge Wells, Hailsham, Heathfield and Hastings areas.

Information about the school

Ticehurst and Flimwell Church of England Primary School is in a rural setting just on the outskirts of the small village of Ticehurst, within easy access to the M25 via the A21, and has good rail links from Stonegate and Wadhurst to London and coastal towns.

There are 113 pupils currently on role, aged between four and eleven years, and we have a Children’s Centre on site and an independently-run Pre-school. The school is modern and has a spacious hall, library and classrooms - each with outdoor area. The outside environment is extensive with a playground, netball court, pond area, gardens, outdoor classroom, playing field and an amphitheatre.

Our school serves the local communities of Ticehurst and Flimwell; we also have pupils who come from further afield and have good links with the village and churches of Ticehurst and Flimwell.

At present, there are five classes with full-time teachers. The teaching staff are supported by teaching assistants who help to create a strong team who work well together.
