We are seeking to appoint a Teaching assistant to work in KS1. The hours of work are 8.45 to 3.15 (27.5 hrs per week paid for 43 weeks per year)

The role will involve supporting the class teacher and working with small groups of children.

The ideal candidate(s) will have:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or as a parent helper in a school
  • Good Numeracy and Literacy skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills
  • A good sense of humour

Information about the school

St Marks CE Primary is a two form entry school set in large grounds on the outskirts of Tunbridge Wells. Class sizes vary from 20 - 30 pupils, with a maximum of 30 children permitted in each class.

An extensive building and refurbishment programme was completed in July 2015, providing superb new facilities for the children.

We were rated Good by Ofsted in July 2022, and we have strong links with our local church St Marks, Broadwater. The school has a strong Christian ethos and in December 2019 we had our SIAMS inspection and were judged as Good.
