We are recruiting for a qualified, passionate and experienced Deputy Manager to join our busy pre-school based on the outskirts of Maidstone. 

The role includes working alongside the Manager in all aspect of running our term-time only pre-school.  Leading the team in the absence of the Manager. Lead and support the staff's practices to ensure they are offering the best care and education at all times withing the setting and to support their professional development. 

Responsibliites include:

  • ability to achieve and maintain high standards of care and education for all children attending the setting
  • effectively lead and manage the staff team including involvement in recruitment and retention and to provide day to day guidance, training and support to all staff
  • ensure all policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to at all times
  • having knowledge and understanding of all current early childhood thinking/trends
  • having the ability to build strong relationships with staff and parents as well as children within the setting

 

Information about the school

Boughton Monchelsea Playgroup is a term-time only packaway setting based in the Village Hall. We are open for 9 sessions a week between the hours of 8.30am and 4.15pm and offer lunchclub 4 sessions per week. We provide a secure and caring environment from which our children can explore and learn with the aim of feeling successful and happy and being able to achieve high standards. We value all children who attend our setting and aim to meet their individual needs. Our enthusiastic team of staff work well together to create a friendly environment to work in.
