We are looking to appoint a highly skilled, enthusiastic and creative Teaching Assistant to support groups of pupils to achieve in all areas of the curriculum. The post is initially a temporary position to the 31 August 2018 for Year 2 and is for 25.50 hours per week. Hours of work are every morning: 8:30am – 12pm and four afternoons: 1.15pm – 3.15pm.

Recent experience as a Teaching Assistant and a good understanding of key aspects of the expectations of Key Stage 1 will be an advantage. You must have a good standard of English and Maths, together with the Teaching Assistants Qualification (Level 2 or higher) and be able to communicate effectively with adults and children. You will be expected to use your initiative and to contribute your ideas. Experience of planning and delivering a range of supporting intervention programmes would be desirable. We are ideally looking for someone who can offer all of this, enjoy working with children, works well as part of a team and has a good sense of humour!
