Are you seeking an exciting opportunity to join the leadership team in a growing school as Inclusion leader including the Senco role? 

Otford Primary School is seeking to appoint an Inclusion Manager with Senco responsibility starting in September 2017 but would be prepared to wait for the right candidate. This is a permanent, out of class, post 0.6FTE but there maybe the possibility of additional hours teaching e.g PPA/NQT release.
We are looking for an applicant with: • A proven track record of outstanding ability in the classroom as a teacher • A passion and vision for inclusion being at the heart of the school • Leadership and management skills and ideally managerial experience • The SEN national qualification or a desire to undertake the course/training • Experience, skills and knowledge about SEN and Inclusion • The ability to lead and work in different teams • An excellent work ethic.

The role will include: • Strategic overview of inclusion and SEN provision in the school • Responsibility for those with identified SEN • Responsibility for “narrowing the gap” for underachieving groups including: SEND, Pupil Premium (FSM and LAC), EAL and any other children who are at risk of under-achieving • Working with staff to plan, set up and monitor interventions including their impact • Liaison with many outside agencies • Establishing relationships with parents of children with SEND • Direct work with children to assess and support their needs

Otford Primary School is located near Sevenoaks, based in the historic village of Otford. We are a two-form entry school, drawing from the village and immediate surrounding areas with committed staff and parents. We like to maximise links within the village and local community.

The School has undergone buildings and facilities development in the last few years. A large sports field and outdoor spaces are used to maximise physical activity and learning outside the classroom as well as weekly Forest School sessions off site.
