Wider Opportunities Manager

Full time post (term time only)

KR5 pro rata

We are seeking to appoint a Full time (term time only) wider opportunities manager. This new and exciting role will provide an opportunity for someone to really make their mark on the extracurricular opportunities we offer our children at Pilgrims’ Way. The role will involve managing our breakfast and tea time club (with assistants), organising trips for the children (class trips, reward trips), planning visitors to come to the school to work with the children, managing play opportunities at lunch times and supporting the children in our new onsite Forest School development so that all wider opportunities are linked directly to the curriculum.

This is a post we are really excited about and are looking for an enthusiastic, organised, motivated individual to join our team and create some exciting opportunities for our children.

Applicants are warmly welcomed to come and look around our school. Please contact the school to arrange this.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and as such all appointments will be subject to satisfactory DBS checks and references.

All applications must be made using the Village Academy application form.

Information about the school

Our school has been part of the Veritas Multi Academy Trust since May 2018. Ofsted report September 2022 rates our school as GOOD with an OUTSTANDING Early Years. Our irresistible curriculum and inclusive ethos ensures that all children achieve their potential.

The school is situated in the beautiful city of Canterbury, benefitting from many excellent cultural opportunities. We have wonderful grounds, including a forest school. Learning outside the classroom is a school priority.

We are on an exciting journey to rebuild our school and are working with the Department for Education on a new build project.
