This is an opportunity for an experienced teaching assistant to join our team. The post will be based in the year 1/2 class initially working primarily with two SEN children but also supporting the class.

The post is initially for 8 hours per week (Monday - Thursday 1-3pm) but may be increased with additional funding.  We are looking for somebody that would be happy to increase these hours to 12.30-3.30pm in the future.

Experience of working with children with emotional needs and ASD would be an advantage, however training will be given to the right candidate.

Selsted Church of England Primary School is a small, rural, church school situated between Folkestone and Canterbury.

With around 105 children, we are a very small school and pride ourselves on our close knit and caring personal approach to work with each other. Our excellent staff are well supported by parents and the governing body. We strive to enrich the curriculum through creative teaching and learning opportunities, including using the local environment. The school seeks to provide a nurturing environment that supports pupils to gain a love for learning.
