We are looking for a Teaching Assistant for a 20 hour a week post (8.30 – 12.30 each day),  to support a Year 3 pupil in receipt of Higher Needs Funding. The successful candidate will be required to work alongside the pupil to access learning activities in the classroom, in 1:1 sessions to complete specialist programmes and outside at playtimes.  You will need to be able to work under the direction of the teacher and on your own initiative. 

Previous experience of working with children in a classroom situation is essential, along with an understanding of ASD. Some experience of Speech and Language programmes is desirable.

We are looking for a candidate who is willing to work hard and commit time to developing necessary knowledge and skills. The successful candidate will have high expectations of themselves and others and be able to work well in a team. The ideal candidate should also feel comfortable liaising with our SENCO and the child's family.

Littlebourne School is a small village primary of 80 children taught in mixed aged classes. We have a welcoming and supportive ethos, a strong and talented staff team and lovely children.
