Following the resignation of our highly respected Early Years Leader, we are now seeking an Assistant Headteacher to effectively lead our large department in its next stage of development.

The Oakfield EYFS department consists of three Reception classes and a 104 place Nursery, taking children from 2 - 4 on a flexible basis.

The scope for professional development is immense.  The potential for setting development, moving swiftly to outstanding is exciting.

You will have the full support of the senior leaders and governors to lead a child-led provision.  We will also continue to ensure that the EYFS philosophy is respected across the whole school.  Our senior leaders and governors fully understand the value and importance of early years provision.

We have a very hard working, dedicated staff team, wonderful children, hugely supportive parents and trustees that will encourage staff to achieve the best for the children and families in the school.

You will be an experienced EYFS practitioner with excellent people skills, and with an obvious love of EYFS and all the challenges and rewards this age group comes with!

The Assistant Head for Early Years will be partly classroom based, but with a significant amount of release time to ensure you are fully equipped to lead the department.
