We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the school finance office. For the right candidate, permanent employment is likely to be available when the apprenticeship is complete.

Responsibilities

The post holder will be expected to carry out the following duties:

  • To efficiently undertake school finance and administration duties which may include the following as directed:
  • To assist with the ordering of school supplies, ensuring value for money
  • Accept deliveries and make arrangements for their distribution
  • Processing and paying of invoices
  • Receive and record school trip money received from parents
  • Raise invoices as required
  • Enter cash, cheques and online receipts on finance system
  • To maintain strict confidentiality at all times
  • Banking of money/cheques as required (if possible)
  • Monthly bank reconciliations
  • Inputting staff training information on to the staff data base
  • Oversee Year 6 pupils with the tuck shop
  • Replenishing tuck shop supplies
  • To be a flexible and supportive member of the team
  • Covering the school office during lunchtimes and when directed
  • Assist with adhoc Admin duties during busy periods
  • Assist with any other work deemed appropriate as directed by the Business Manager, Administration Manager or SLT
  • Throughout the training period the post holder will be expected to complete all education and training as required
