This has to be the most exciting job opportunity you will see today…!

Two Bridges School is the PRU provision supporting all primary and secondary schools in Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells and South Sevenoaks. We have an expanding curriculum and are offering Technology for the first time in September 2017. We are currently searching hard working, motivated staff to develop this Tech department and offer a range of subjects to GCSE level in our new purpose built workshops on site.

Our students often have previous mainstream experience of studying food tech, resistant materials, graphics, ICT and textiles as well as some having done construction and other vocational learning. We are looking to build on these skills and take the students through to GCSE exams in Technology subjects alongside their core and other options.

If you have experience of working with challenging or vulnerable young people and want to take your career to the next level then this job description is one you should be looking at carefully. Please call or email to arrange a time to visit or chat further about this chance to really make a difference whilst doing the things you love.

These posts are to deliver the Technology curriculum across the School meaning each post holder will need to offer 2 Tech subjects each or Tech plus ICT or possibly Sport to GCSE level.

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Clearance by the Disclosure and Barring Service.

To apply please visit www.kent.gov.uk/jobs to complete an online application form. The vacancy reference number is 17001125. The closing date is midnight 10th May 2017.

Information about the school

We are the newly amalgamated behaviour support provision for West Kent Area. We offer support through the WKLF referral forum to all 16 Secondary Schools in West Kent and are developing our work to support our partner Primary Schools as well.

Our Keystage 3 centre in Charles Street, Southborough offers respite placements for students in Years 7, 8 and 9 who have experienced behaviour difficulties in their mainstream setting and who are at risk of permanent exclusion. We aim to reintegrate students back into a mainstream School as soon as possible.

For some students a more long term solution is the key to their success. We provide GCSE and other Level 2 learning in a range of subjects for students in years 10 and 11. There are vocational options which are also delivered at our site in Morley Road, Tonbridge. These personalised programs of study include a deep focus on behaviour management, confidence, resilience and the ability to work well as part of a team.
