Teaching Assistant

Grade: KR3 dependent on current grade and experience.

Hours – Part time 17.5 hours per week, 8.45am - 12.15pm term time only.

Contract: Fixed term linked to a Year 5 pupil.

Rosherville Church of England Academy, Part of the Rochester Diocese Academy Trust are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working  Teaching Assistant to join our friendly, caring and dedicated team. You will need to be able to use your initiative, prepare resources and follow the careful planning given to you by the Class Teacher.

The successful candidate will have previous demonstrable experience within an KS1/2 setting and:

  • an ability to demonstrate teamwork, patience, humour, initiative and flexibility
  • a calm and caring approach
  • high standard of spoken and written English and GCSE level in Mathematics grade C or above
  • experience of working with small groups / individuals on specific intervention programmes
  • support children to further accelerate their progress.
  • relevant qualifications e.g. NVQ2 or NVQ3 in Learning Support or other relevant experience

Rosherville Church of England Academy is a welcoming school situated in Northfleet, on the edge of Gravesend town centre.
