Are you an outstanding experienced teacher looking for a new leadership challenge?

We are looking for an English Subject Leader to join our fantastic team from September this year, with the potential to take on either key stage 1 or key stage 2 leadership as an additional responsibility (please indicate in your application which key stage you are applying for).

We are a small Church of England Primary School on our journey to ‘Good’ and beyond. If you are an experienced practitioner, with a thirst for leadership and a desire to succeed, this could be the job for you!

This position starts in September 2017 and will be key stage 1 or 2 teaching role with leadership responsibilities and a position within the Senior Leadership Team.

The right candidate for this job will be a dependable, experienced teacher with an excellent grasp of the curriculum. You will be able to identify ways to improve outcomes through your leadership, be proactive, inspirational, and communicate effectively with staff and parents, as well as being an outstanding classroom practitioner. Experience of teaching in year 2 or 6 and some knowledge of the new statutory arrangements would be desirable (but not essential). You must have solid leadership skills and a healthy ambition for the success of the school.

To succeed in this role, you will:

  • Be an experienced teacher with a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm for this important stage in a child's education;
  • Have a passion for driving up standards and improving outcomes for all pupils;
  • Be an effective and confident communicator, being able to support other staff within your phase, all the while maintaining a friendly and inclusive atmosphere
  • Be organised, enthusiastic, proactive and positive. A sense of humour is vital!

This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced teacher looking for a step-up into senior leadership, or an existing middle leader looking to move to a friendly school and a new challenge. In this leadership role, you will be working alongside a strong senior leadership team who will be keen to support you every step of the way. You will also have a full time teaching responsibility, which means that you will be able to make use of all opportunities to utilise the school's resources and express your passion for education within the classroom.

If this sounds like it may be the job for you, please come and look around our wonderful school to find out more.
