Are you an experienced SENCO ready to take on the excititng next step to Inclusion Manager?

Ideally we are looking for someone who is beginning their career as a senior leader with a view to becoming a Headteacher in the future. You will not have a class responsibility but may be asked to cover from time to time and may well deliver interventions as part of your SENCO role.

As our Assistant headteacher you will play a key strategic role in the Senior Leadership Team, assisting the Headteacher in the effective leadership, organisation and management of the school in order to raise learning outcomes for all groups of children.

We believe strongly in developing all members of our team through CPD and work closely with other schools in several different alliances and partnerships.

Visits to the school are essential as it will give you an opportunity to meet the children and staff and find out more about us. Please call the school office to join one of our visit dates - 20th April at 2pm, 24th April at 9.30am or 27th April at 10.00am.

Parkside Community Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this post.

Information about the school

Parkside Community Foundation Primary School is a small, growing, happy school on the outskirts of Canterbury. We have a diverse range of backgrounds and cultures within our school and this greatly enriches and enhances our school community.

Our pupils benefit from small classes and a high level of teaching assistant support in every class. After some testing years, we now have a new leadership team in place and the school is showing greatly improved results. We have been able to make significant improvements to, and investments in, our school site and we have an exciting future ahead.

At Parkside, we value greatly outdoor learning and are working towards improving a range of outdoor learning environments, including our own forest school area. We are also benefitting from the next phase of an upcoming building programme which will ensure our buildings will be of the same high standard as the education we deliver.
