37 hours per week, term-time only (39 weeks per year + 2 weeks during holidays) or full-time (52 weeks per year)

The Malling School (TMS) is a medium sized school that is growing approximately 10% year on year, offering great career opportunities for staff.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an enthusiastic and hard-working ICT team, which sits within the Business Operations Team, providing HR/Finance/IT services to TMS and other schools in the local area.

The role is based at The Malling School however this post will require the successful candidate at times to work at other local schools, so the ability to drive and have access to your own transport is essential.

Working within the ICT Department to provide first line support and maintenance across the campus.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Good verbal and written English
  • Willingness to be a part of a multi-functional team
  • Good communication and liaison skills
  • The ability to work flexibly using initiative to work to frequently demanding deadlines
  • A mature, enthusiastic and positive attitude
  • Full UK drivers licence and transportation

  • Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and WDS
  • Active Directory & Group Policy
  • Microsoft Windows 10
  • Microsoft Office Applications
  • DHCP &DNS
  • TCP/IP based networks
  • Wireless infrastructures

DESIRABLE

  • Office 365 and cloud based services
  • Experience of using SIMS.net
  • Knowledge of current audio visual facilities
  • VMware Server and virtualization

Information about the school

A mixed 11-19 co-educational High School of 1000 pupils serving the historic market town of West Malling and surrounding villages. The school is set in pleasant rural surroundings and has its own lake and extensive grounds. It was completely re-built in September 2007 and therefore has outstanding facilities.

West Malling is close to the county town of Maidstone and has excellent rail links to London and Ashford International (for the Continent).
