Salary: MPS scale 1 - 6 + SEN allowance

Dover Christ Church Academy is a vibrant fast-paced Academy and students are able to utilise state of the art vocational facilities alongside an inspirational learning environment. Within our Academy we are proud to include the Secondary Aspen 2 School provision with strong links to the primary Aspen 1, which is based in Whitfield and Aspen Primary School.

 

The school is passionate about raising aspirations and achievement of all its students and provide the best possible outcomes for all of the pupils. We are seeking to employ an excellent teacher who is passionate about SEN and can demonstrate a  high standard of teaching and learning, particularly with learners with profound, severe or complex needs, but also to work alongside colleagues in the mainstream provision of the school, sharing the responsibility for  ensuring the provision achieves excellent outcomes for the benefit of all students. 

 

All applicants should have a good understanding of teaching students functioning the ability range P1 to NC levels.  They will appreciate the importance of working alongside a wide range of professionals in sharing goals for pupils and have positive communication skills.  They should be able to demonstrate a good understanding of implementation of the Code of Practice and share the school's vision for inclusive learning.
