Advert

We are seeking to appoint a part-time teacher (3 days per week) from September 2017. This post provides an excellent opportunity to work within a vibrant and well-resourced school. You will be part of a dedicated and forward thinking team.

The Churchill School offers the opportunity to work in a school in which Ofsted (May 2015) note:

“Teachers receive excellent help and support to improve their teaching. They respond by working very hard and having a strong commitment to the school.

Pupils’ behaviour is outstanding. They recognise the commitment of the school to them and respond by working very hard in lessons. Their conduct around the school is excellent.”

Applications from both NQTs and experienced teachers are warmly welcomed. Visits to the school are welcomed and encouraged before applying because, just as the well-being and safeguarding of pupils is paramount, so too is the well-being of our staff. It is as important that staff make a commitment to the school as it is that the school selects a team player.

Classroom observations for shortlisted candidates will be conducted w/c 24 April 2017.

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Any offer of employment will be subject to satisfactory references and a satisfactory check supplied by the Disclosure and Barring Service. The check will include any cautions, reprimands or final warnings as well as convictions.

Information about the school

The Churchill is a two form entry school in the town of Hawkinge, two miles north of Folkestone and 10 miles from Canterbury and is part of the EKC Schools Trust.
