Learning Support Assistant (LSA) with PE responsibilities

Pay scale: Kent Range 3 to Kent Range 5

The salary for this position will depend on qualifications and experience.

Governors wish to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant with PE responsibilities to join our school.

The position would involve assisting with the teaching of PE, working with all year groups across the school.

Sometimes the role will include working as a general LSA within a class or delivering interventions to individuals or groups of pupils across the school.

We have an excellent reputation for the inclusion of all children.

Desirable qualifications, experience and qualities required by the successful applicant:

  • Level 3 Certificate for Teaching Assistants qualification or similar
  • PE coaching qualification or similar
  • Experience working in schools – ideally in all primary phases - EYFS / KS1/ KS2
  • Good Literacy and Numeracy skills, GCSE grade C+ or equivalent
  • Ability to work successfully with pupils with a range of needs
  • Adaptable and confident to support individuals, small groups of pupils
  • Capable and confident in delivering school interventions
  • Enjoys working with children and is able to establish excellent relationships
  • Excellent team member
  • Hardworking and is able to work on their own initiative and manage time
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidential

This new post in the school is for 25 hours, working across the week Mondays to Fridays. However, additional hours would be available for running clubs after school.
