This is an opportunity for a teacher with “drive and energy” to join an established team and bring new ideas, enthusiasm and a touch of charisma. It is a temporary post for one year in the first instance.

St. Mildred’s is a three form entry infant school with a creative and child centred approach to education. Our inspiration is the quote “Children must be taught how to think and not what to think”.

You will be part of a team determined to offer the best possible education for the children for whom we are responsible and who are not afraid to take a pioneering approach to achieve our aims. Indeed, our most recent Ofsted report stated:

‘This is a vibrant school where children flourish.’

Reading, writing, speaking and listening are golden threads woven through all activities.’

We are looking for someone who is already a good to outstanding teacher or trainee teacher. Ideally you should be quick-witted and outgoing. You will need to have a degree of determination, decisiveness and even some inspiration.

We strongly recommend you have a look at our website and then come so see us or call us for an informal conversation prior to submitting an application. We will be very pleased to discuss our plans and ideas and your potential involvement with them. Visits are strongly encouraged .and can be booked from 21/3/17.

Information about the school

St Mildred's Primary Infant School is a Co-operative Foundation Primary School which believes strongly in the Co-operative ethos. As part of Thanet Endeavour Learning Trust we work in very close partnership with Bromstone Primary School with whom we are federated, and with Garlinge and Parkside Primary Schools. We share our Executive Headteacher with Garlinge, Bromstone and Parkside Schools.

St Mildred's has a well developed creative curriculum, which provides our children with exciting opportunities for learning, both in the classroom and in the wider environment. We place high value on the Arts and outdoor learning; we have established a Forest School in our grounds. Our staff are friendly, enthusiastic and very committed to providing the best education we can for our pupils
