Salary: Main / Upper Pay Scale + TLR2b (£4,396 per FTE)

Cornwallis Academy have an exciting opportunity to join our highly successful Media Studies department and take on the role as Head of Department on a full time, permanent basis. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and outstanding classroom teacher, with a proven track record of excellence, who can inspire students to successfully achieve their highest potential.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the skillset of being able to lead a successful team, developing innovative schemes of works and illustrate excellent understanding of data analysis to continue to improve attainment and progress outcomes for our students. You will be joining a well-resourced department that has a relentless focus on raising achievement and thriving A-level numbers. The post offers outstanding opportunities for continuous personal and professional development for a highly motivated and ambitious teacher looking for career advancement. We have a variety of successful Media courses at both GCSE and A level, as well as Level 3 Creative Media Production and A level Film Studies.

As well as our state of the art facilities, we have an exciting programme of trips, visits, visitors and extra-curricular activities.
