We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed and proven teacher of Maths with effect from September 2017 or sooner, to lead and develop the Maths team at NLL. We are looking for someone who has the ability to inspire and successfully lead a team of hard working teachers at this crucial time in the school’s development. We value positive working relationships with both fellow colleagues and students and seek an individual who will support this ethos. 

Main responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Developing and implementing policies and practices for the Maths which reflects the school’s commitment to high achievement, consistent with national and school policies.
  • Monitoring the progress made in achieving subject plans and targets and evaluating the impact on teaching and learning.
  • Assisting and developing the Maths team to enhance performance and share good practice, encouraging staff to keep abreast of recent curricular developments.
  • Liaising with other Departments in order to encourage cross curricular co-operation with a focus on developing numeracy skills across the school.
  • Ensuring that the quality of students’ work is frequently assessed, and monitor standards and professional practice across the Department.
