Advert

Due to the promotion of the current post holder there is a unique opportunity for an aspiring leader to become part of the forward-thinking and committed leadership team of Claremont Primary School which is a National Support School and Teaching School.

The postholder will lead and manage our highly skilled, enthusiastic and innovative Strategic Middle Leaders (see the organisational chart) to implement our Strategic School Plan.

We are seeking someone who has significant whole school responsibilities and experience in their current school and has a clear understanding of the primary curriculum and assessment without levels. The successful candidate will be someone who can think and plan strategically and innovatively and is an outstanding role model for colleagues.

We would like to develop our Teaching School further and are aiming to expand our training opportunities and facilities. The postholder will therefore be responsible for leading the development and delivery of training and support as part of the Teaching School and Altius Teaching School Alliance.

As the Deputy Headteacher of a National Support School there will be opportunities to support other schools that are in challenging circumstances and to be responsible for Claremont Primary in the headteacher's absence when she is supporting other schools in her role as an NLE. This post would therefore suit a candidate who is ambitious and aiming for their own headship.

Potential applicants are welcome to visit the school prior to application. Please contact the school office for dates and times. We look forward to meeting you and sharing our vision. Please see our website for further information about the school.
