This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher or a newly qualified teacher (NQT). We are looking for an outstanding teacher to help us deliver high quality teaching and learning at Greenfields. Greenfields was judged as ‘good’ in May 2014 and we are dedicated to providing the best possible education for all of our children.

The year group for this position will be discussed as part of the interview process. This position is for a September start but time spent in school in Term 6 would be welcomed and encouraged to get to know the way the school works.

At Greenfields we deliver an exciting curriculum for children of all ages through short focused learning experiences. Looking on the class pages of our website is highly recommended to get a feel for how this comes to life.

The school’s approach to monitoring is focused on teacher development and colleagues regularly have the opportunity to pop in other year groups to share and develop outstanding practice.

Experienced teachers will be part of our Leadership Pathway Program which offers future leaders authentic leadership opportunities alongside high quality leadership training. Each pathway gives the opportunity to lead an area of whole school improvement, with support and guidance. This offers excellent opportunities to develop key leadership skills and with a dedicated approach this will provide all the key skills required for a senior position in school. The focus of this pathway would be discussed after appointment.

NQTs will be skilfully supported by an experienced member of staff and will have dedicated time to meet weekly with their mentor. Dedicated release time will be protected to ensure the best possible start to your career.

As part of the selection process shortlisted applicants will be observed in their current setting, if you do not have a current setting, this observation will be added to the formal interview.  These observations will take place between Tuesday 18th April and Friday 21st April.

Greenfields is an oversubscribed one and a half form entry Community Primary School with 3 nursery classes. The school is situated in South Maidstone on a large site with amazing facilities.

We have designed our own curriculum to meet the needs of our children. This includes dedicated enrichment funding and use of the school’s minibuses to bring our curriculum to life e.g. regular trips to London, Harry Potter Studios, chances to explore all areas of Kent and much more!

We have become well known for our dedication to PE and school sport and are proud to have set up sporting opportunities for children across Maidstone. This has been recognised by us receiving the Platinum Sports Award.
