We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, experienced and motivated teacher to join our teaching team. Our ideal candidate will,

  • be an experienced KS2 practitioner
  • have up to date knowledge of assessment practices in KS2
  • be a reflective, caring practitioner with very high expectations
  • be an excellent role model who will motivate and inspire children
  • have excellent communication skills
  • have a creative, imaginative and inspiring approach to bringing the curriculum alive and making it relevant for all children

Information about the school

The Wells Free School is committed to safeguarding children and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The Wells Free School opened in September 2013 with just years R, 1 and 2. We have expanded each year and, in September 2016, we moved into our brand-new school building. We now have 210 pupils divided into 7 classes.

With a strong focus on child-led learning and a commitment to outdoor learning experiences, the school aims to promote excellence and wellbeing, ensuring that our pupils have a real understanding of their community, both locally and globally. The school was rated good by OFSTED in June 2019.
