Searching for the next step in your career? Or are you an aspiring NQT looking for your first teaching role? A school that values personal development is looking for you! We are looking for an experienced KS1/2 teacher, or enthusiastic NQT, to complete our team for September 2017.

Due to the recent promotion of one of our senior leaders we are looking for a highly skilled, energetic, creative and innovative teacher with leadership potential to join our teaching team. In your application we would love to hear about the skills and knowledge that you would bring to our team and any curriculum strengths and experience you have in subject leadership; there is a possibility of a subject leadership role in a core subject area, for the right candidate. However, we also welcome applications from NQTs. You will be required to teach as part of the recruitment process. Shortlisted candidates will be notified by email.

In addition, we are seeking someone who has:

  • A creative approach to teaching and learning including the use of ICT
  • The ability to be a team player
  • A sense of humour
  • An interest or experience in outdoor learning/forest school
  • A commitment to supporting extra curricular activities

We can offer you:

  • A welcoming school with close community links
  • A supportive and friendly staff team
  • Hardworking, motivated and well behaved children
  • Excellent opportunities for professional development
  • Flexible PPA arrangements allowing teachers to take PPA time off site
  • A supportive leadership team with in-house coaching/NQT mentoring provided
  • Flexibility to build on your strengths and talents
  • A  lovely school in a beautiful setting

Our pupils achieve well and make good progress – academically and socially – during their time with us. We make good use of our extensive grounds and the local community to further enrich our curriculum. Have a look at our website to get a feel of what we are about. Visits to the school are recommended. Please contact the school office to make an appointment to view the school.

Information about the school

Information about the 10:10 Primary Federation The 10:10 Primary Federation has been formed through the collaboration of Goudhurst and Kilndown and Benenden CE Primary Schools, both situated in small picturesque villages in the Weald of Kent. Goudhurst & Kilndown Primary School which was graded Outstanding at our last Ofsted and SIAMS inspections; Benenden Primary was graded good in both their respective inspections. The catchment areas are mixed, with children from a wide variety of backgrounds. Both our schools are very well equipped and our facilities are excellent and we are delighted that from September 2019, Benenden children are now learning in their wonderful new building. We place high value on developing the ‘whole child’. Academically, we offer a broad and balanced curriculum, rich with outdoor learning opportunities; we have established Forest Schools which all children experience. Children's wellbeing and mental health is of an equal high priority; the learning and pastoral support from within and outside of the schools fully support this.
