SEN Teaching Assistant/Lunchtime Supervisor

16.25 hrs per week, 39 weeks per annum (term time only, plus 5 staff development days)

12.00 - 15.15 Monday - Friday (some flexibility with working hours may be required)

We require an inspirational teaching assistant at this very good school (Ofsted May 2015).

The successful candidate will either be an experienced and successful Teaching Assistant who enjoys team working and taking responsibility or have worked in a Special Needs or child based environment. The successful candidate will also have a strong commitment to inclusive principles and be committed to safeguarding children and young people.

The following would be desirable:

Good core subject knowledge in English and Maths

Experience of working with children aged 4-11

Ideally, but not essential, experience of working with a 1-1 child with physical, speech and language or learning difficulties

Valley Invicta Primary School at East Borough is a two-form entry school for children aged 4 to 11, with a Specialist Resource Provision, in the heart of the local community.
