Are you a strong graduate, or approaching graduation, and considering a career in teaching? Then Castle Hill Community Primary School could be the ideal place for you to begin your career. It is our vision to support and develop strong teachers to work in our local schools, providing the children with an excellent education.

We are looking for graduates to join our staff team from September 2017 and be part of our successful and innovative training programme; we will also guarantee that a successful candidate will be paid throughout their training.

For the first year you would be employed as a Teaching Assistant on Kent Range 3 (working 8.30am to 3.00pm), gaining valuable experience in our extremely busy and successful school. During this time you would be supported in your application for teacher training. If you are successful in gaining a Schools Direct training place and have met the required standards within the school then you would be able to complete your training with us as your main placement.

During your teacher training the school will pay you a salary of £600 per month. In return for this we would ask you to work on our Summer Holiday programme (2 weeks) and to support with a small number of extra-curricular duties.

Once your Teacher Training is completed to a good standard the school would then guarantee you an offer of employment, this will either be at Castle Hill or one of our local partner schools. You would also have to agree to stay within the school for a minimum of two years.

If this sounds appealing, then we would welcome an application from you. Please contact the Headteacher, Pete Talbot, if you would like further details or a tour around the school.
