Performing Arts Faculty Learning Coach/AV Technician

Term time only (38 weeks plus one additional week)   37 hours per week

Salary Kent Scale 4 (£16,551 pro rata) which equates to £14,002 per annum

Folkestone All Age Academy offers a state of the art learning environment for over 1400, 11-18 year olds. We value academic rigour, coupled with a unique form of pastoral care and guidance.

To support our vision, we require a Learning Coach/AV Technician to assist students in accessing the curriculum and becoming independent learners, as well as providing first class support to the Performing Arts department.

Key Deliverables will include:

  • Promoting the development of organisational and study skills, and independent learning
  • Providing AV technical support including controlling the lighting for productions (digital and analogue)
  • Helping to supervise practical tasks
  • Deciding upon the best ways of helping targeted students to access the materials and to undertake the tasks

-          To fulfil the role of a co-tutor and to take an active role in all house activities
