Learning Manager

Start date: As soon as possible

Salary: Kent Scheme 8 - £24231 - £27769 FTE (£20514 - £23509 pro-rata)

Working pattern: 37 hours per week, term time plus 5 days

Contract type: Permanent non-teaching position

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Learning Manager for our Key Stage 4 students.  You will need to demonstrate extensive experience of supporting young people, and will be adept at data handling.  You will work closely with the Assistant Head teacher, providing support to students within key stage 4.

You will be required to work in a variety of contexts to support the safeguarding and protection of our students, creating Personal Education Plans, attending meetings, liaising with parents, carers, outside agencies and the pastoral teams, and implementing a range of intervention strategies to best support our students

You will be well supported by our team of professionals in developing the skills you have to maximise the success and happiness of our students. A commitment to continued professional development is essential.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, flexible team-player to work in our high achieving girls’ grammar school (11-16), with a growing number of boys in the Sixth Form.

Simon Langton Girls’ Grammar School is a highly respected selective Voluntary Controlled Girls’ Grammar School that places students’ academic success on a par with their wellbeing, creating a unique learning community where every individual matters. Students attending the school are aged between 11-18 years and the school has a student roll of about 1,300 students (with approx. 400 pupils in our mixed Sixth Form).
