The Governors are seeking to appoint enthusiastic, dedicated and hardworking teachers to join our school, starting in April or September 2017.

Maypole School started expanding in September 2010, with an additional class added each year. In September 2016, the school completed its expansion from 1FE to 2FE.

We are looking for teachers who:

• are self-motivated practitioners with high expectations of achievement and behaviour;

• are driven, inspirational class teachers;

• are committed to working hard and ambitious for themselves and others;

• are enthusiastic and excellent team members;

• demonstrate creativity, imagination and determination;

• have an ability to work closely with parents to establish good relationships.

In return we offer:

• Delightful children;

• Extremely committed staff and Governing Body;

• Excellent professional development;

• Excellent accommodation and resources.

NQTs and EXPERIENCED TEACHERS are welcome to apply.

The governing body has established three pay bands (Teacher, Accomplished Teacher, Expert Teacher) to include the minimum and maximum points as determined by the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document.

A newly appointed teacher will be appointed at a point within one of the bands taking into account their Professional Skills’ level (the school’s descriptors are attached).

In our Ofsted inspection, October 2013, we were delighted and proud to have been recognised again as a ‘GOOD’ school overall and in each of four key categories: Achievement of Pupils, Quality of Teaching, Behaviour and Safety and Leadership and Management.

If you think you are a person who can build on what has been achieved and help make Maypole an Outstanding school then we would welcome your application.

We request applications using the KCC application forms with the names of 2 referees who will be contacted before interviews take place.

Selection process:

Candidates shortlisted will be observed teaching, undertaken a written exercise, an interview with pupils and a formal interview.

Maypole School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff to share this commitment. This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
