Advert

Do not miss this exciting opportunity to be part of a newly set up Nurture Provision. We are looking for an individual who is dedicated to supporting young people using a nurture approach.  You will need to be a creative thinker and have experience of working with parents to support their children.  You will need to be able to work as part of a team and to work closely with a partner practitioner in the Nurture Provision delivering individualised programmes to small groups of children who are struggling to make academic and/or social progress due to attachment and/or other social and emotional issues.  Some of the children may display challenging behaviours.  Using the Boxall Profile to set individual targets for the children, you will be able to engage the child and their parents in a process of change, to better enable them to move forward in a positive manner.

We are hoping to recruit in time for a start date of 27th February.  Induction and a two day training course in London are booked for 2/3 March in preparation for setting up the group.

Visits to the school are most welcome.

Information about the school

South Avenue is a very popular two form entry primary school in Sittingbourne and is a member of Fulston Manor Academies Trust. Our school vision is We Discover, We Learn, We Grow. We aim to ensure every child is ready for a lifetime of learning and equipped for the real world. We strive to find those barriers to learning and support the children in a nurturing way.

The latest Ofsted (October 2022) agreed that children are happy to attend our school and staff 'have produced an ambitious curriculum and have high expectations for all pupils.'

'The school ethos of together we discover, we learn, we grow is upheld in lessons and activities across the school. Pupils know the school's values and use them to guide their thinking in class and when at play.'

There is a strong community feel about the school and we pride ourselves on looking not only to deliver a rich and balanced curriculum and providing pupils with the tools to learn; but also having a strong focus on the well-being of each child.
