Rusthall St Paul’s CE Primary School is looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to support the inclusion of an ASD pupil within the class.

You will be joining a highly supportive and hardworking team and the person appointed needs to have strong behaviour management skills, good communication skills, be enthusiastic, flexible and a good team player yet self-motivated enough to use their own initiative when necessary. You will work in the classroom under the direction of the class teacher or SENCO but at times will also need initiative to deliver 1:1 as needed. The successful candidate also needs to be educated to NVQ level 2 or equivalent. Experience of working with pupils with speech, language and communication needs and ASD would be desirable.

This is a full time positon 32.5 hours a week term time only (TAs occasionally attend training on INSET days). The position is to support a child in year 5 and is temporary until the child leaves Rusthall or funding ceases. Please read the attached job description and person specification.
