Information about the school

Ashford St Mary Church of England Primary School is a two form entry school situated in the centre of Ashford.

We have a spacious and attractive site where things come in twos just like Noah’s ark – two classes per year group, two halls, two libraries, two playgrounds. Each of our year groups also has a shared space which provides an additional area for learning opportunities.

Our staff are a dedicated and hardworking team but we believe in having fun together too. The supportive staff work together to achieve the same goal and ensure that each child is given the best possible chance to grow and develop into well-rounded individuals.

Ashford St Mary’s CEP School is a town centre school located in a rapidly growing town with good transport links across Kent, to London and to France. We are part of Central Ashford Town Schools collaborations (CATS) and benefit from shared professional development opportunities and sharing of good practice amongst schools in a similar catchment.

Our Christian values of trust, respect, friendship, compassion, perseverance and forgiveness were chosen by the staff, pupils and parents and underpin everything we do. We have close links with St Mary’s church and the children benefit from visiting the church for services throughout the year and from the clergy leading worship at school.

We are well resourced with ample outdoor space. Our creative curriculum offers lots of opportunities for active, hands-on learning and our children speak with pride and enthusiasm about their learning. Pupils come from a wide range of backgrounds. There is an independent nursery attached to the school as well as a breakfast and after school club. The school buildings are modern and well resourced.

Pupils and staff are extremely proud to be part of Ashford St Mary’s School.
