We are seeking to appoint a Part Time Receptionist/Communications Officer to join our happy and successful team in a very busy office. 

Two days per week, Thursday and Friday, 40 weeks per year.

Salary: KR5   £6,176p.a. (pro rata for a full time salary of £17,651 

The successful candidate will be proactive, able to prioritise and have excellent IT skills.  Multi tasking, the ability to keep calm under pressure and meet deadlines is essential.

The role will be:

  • To be the first point of contact for all stakeholders and visitors to the school.
  • To represent the school as its “public face”.
  • To ensure effective communications between all stakeholders.
  • To promote the school positively within the local and wider community.
  • To input data to the school website.

 Essential qualifications:

 - GCSE or equivalent English and Maths

 

 Necessary skills:

- excellent inter-personal skills

- must be a team player

- must be proactive, flexible and able to deal with all stakeholders, calmly, sensitively and at the   appropriate level

- must be able to work independently and use initiative

- must be organised and able to prioritise

- ability to multi task

- working knowledge of adding content to a website

- must have keyboard skills

- knowledge of MS Word and Excel

- knowledge of SIMS.net

The applicant should preferably have experience of working in a school office or with the public and be in sympathy with the ethos of a church school.
