Cover Manager/Supervisor

The Ebbsfleet Academy are looking for a Cover Manager/Supervisor to join in February 2017. The role is 33.5 hours per week, term time only plus 5 inset days.

Please note that the nature of this role means that you will be required to start work at 7.30am each day.

The purpose of the Cover Manager role is to plan, communicate and implement daily cover for staff absence. Where necessary you will liaise with external agencies to provide effective short-term cover for teacher absence. The Cover Manager will cover lessons for absent colleagues which will include leading the lesson which has been set by the class teacher/ department. The classroom based part of the role will be to give instruction and to ensure an appropriate climate for learning. You will be required to respond to pupils’ requirements in the lesson and ensure adherence to academy policies for upholding the highest expectations and support for students to succeed, under the professional direction of teachers. 

This role would be ideal for experienced Cover Supervisors looking for additional responsibilities,  for candidates looking to gain school experience with a view to joining the Teaching profession, or can equally offer an entry into the Education sector for candidates with transferable skills.
