We are seeking to appoint a Site Manager to work alongside the School Business Manager in ensuring the school premises are maintained to a high standard and meet all current health and safety requirements.

The Site Manager will be expected to:

Be responsible for the planning, development and delivery of all aspects of premises maintenance and management and health & safety within the school.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To report to the Business Manager/Headteacher
  • Responsible for the planning, development and delivery of all aspects of premises and Health & Safety within the school, line managing caretaking and cleaning staff to ensure they carry out their tasks in an efficient and effective manner and to arrange adequate cover in the event of their absence.
  • To manage, monitor and control all budgets delegated to post holder.
  • To be responsible for Health and Safety and school premises.

The post is 37 hours per week, all year round and includes 24 days paid holiday per year (to be taken in school holiday periods). The pay is Kent Range 7 and overtime is available to meet additional workloads and the demands of special projects.

St John’s is a four-form entry primary academy located in Gravesend, serving the Parish of St John the Evangelist and the local area. It is part of the Kent Catholic Schools Partnership (KCSP), a multi-academy trust established by the Archdiocese of Southwark for Catholic education across Kent which currently comprises of 26 academies (21 primary and 5 secondary).
