AEN Learning Coach

To start as soon as possible

Fixed term contract for one year (in the first instance, subject to funding)

Term time only (38 weeks plus 5 INSET days)  

37 hours per week (to be worked between the hours of 8.30am – 17.00)

Salary Academies Scale 4 (£16,551 - £17,827) which equates to £14,002 per annum

Folkestone All Age Academy offers a state of the art learning environment for over 1400, 11-18 year olds. We value academic rigour, coupled with a unique form of pastoral care and guidance.

We are seeking to recruit an AEN Learning Coach to support identified students with specific learning requirements. This is not a teaching assistant role under another name – we work together in partnership to enable our students to succeed.

The successful candidate must have worked in an educational background and have experience with SEND pupils, especially with cognition and learning and communication and interaction difficulties. In addition the candidate must have strong behaviour management skills and have excellent communication skills as well as strong literacy and numeracy skills.
