We require a KS2 teacher to cover maternity leave from Easter 2017 for 1 year.   We are looking to appoint an inspirational teacher to join our highly successful teaching team.  You will need to demonstrate that you are fun, flexible and energetic and that you are able to deliver consistently good and outstanding teaching.  We would expect you to have excellent interpersonal skills and it is essential that you are a team player, are fun to be with and inspire both children and adults alike.  You will have an absolute commitment to growing as a professional; learning with and from others is a high priority and there are plenty of opportunities to do this both in the school and within our collaborations. We have many visitors to our school and enjoy welcoming them to see what we do and to share our good practice.

 

We are an Ofsted rated good school, aiming for outstanding and a strategic partner with the East Kent Learning Alliance and Coastal Alliance Cooperative Trust Schools. Continuing professional development enables us to provide a highly effective provision in all aspects of the curriculum and ensures outstanding attitudes for learning from the children.  We believe in lifelong learning for all.

 

Candidates will need to have available records of their teaching observations in the past two years and be prepared to be observed teaching.

Joy Lane Foundation Primary School includes a PVI Nursery and a Special Resourced Provision (ASD) which is set in beautiful, extensive grounds near to Whitstable beach and town centre. We have just over 700 children attending our Nursery, Oysters SRP and twenty one mainstream school learning environments; the School also benefits from its wonderful swimming pool and Forest School. We are a supportive collaborative team which is committed to promoting a love of learning, for life, for the whole community. Our strong and inclusive ethos begins with the belief that everyone can succeed and combines positive personal values with the highest academic achievement.
