This is an exciting time to join an ‘outstanding’ school where ‘success is evident in the outstanding academic and personal outcomes for pupils’ (OFSTED, 2015) as it moves through a new phase of development and growth. Five Acre Wood currently has 309 pupils aged 4-19 years with profound, severe and complex needs. The school is due to grow to over 330 pupils. To facilitate this expansion, the school is being refurbished with some additional new build. Five Acre Wood is a split site school with two satellites, one at a local primary school catering for KS2 pupils and the other at a secondary school, for 6^th Form and KS3 and 4 students. The safeguarding and welfare of our pupils is actively promoted throughout our school community.

Five Acre Wood is a successful outward looking and expanding Special School based over 4 sites in and around Maidstone, Kent. We are one of the largest special schools in the country with over 800 pupils on roll aged 2-19 years with profound, severe and complex needs.

Our ‘Outstanding’ school will continue to expand and we are looking for people with a positive approach to join us who share our vision of ‘Only the best will do’ for all our students and staff.
